Rugby
On Monday 12th the junior team lost by a slim margin of 24-21. There was a great team performance especially for the new players. The tries were scored by Liam Connerton, Colm Farrell and Ciaran Casserly. They were all converted by Liam Connerton.The senior team got a bye in the first round after St Finnians were unable to play. They will face Moyne in the next round.

GAA
St. Mel's Gaelic Footballers had a clean sweep this week as the First years beat Granard. The U14s beat Granard 6-16 to 1-9 and the Seniors beat Ballymahon Convent 2-22 to 4-7 in the McGee Cup First Round

TY
Last Friday 16th October the TY class all received their Water Safety Certificate. TY's have continued their First Aid module with the start of CPR. Resuscitation Dolls were brought in for students to practice on. They also had a test of knowledge of the recovery position. WE're happy to say everyone passed with flying colours. The class are also enjoying the Photography and Art modules they are currently taking.

Mid Term Break
School closes from Monday 23rd and reopens Monday 2nd November. We are all looking forward to the break after all our hard work this term.
